AI Without the Hype: What It Is, What It Isn’t, and a Sensible Business Approach
Join us on April 7th for one of two identical sessions (2:00 PM or 5:00 PM) designed to bring clarity and perspective to one of the most talked-about topics in business today: artificial intelligence.
This session is a practical, thought-provoking introduction to AI for organisations that want something more useful than either breathless hype or vague anxiety. We’ll cut through the noise and explain what people really mean when they talk about AI today, how systems like ChatGPT actually work, and why they can be both impressively helpful and surprisingly unreliable at the same time. Along the way, we’ll challenge some of the biggest myths - that AI is truly intelligent, that it is creative in the way humans are, that it is a magic fix for business problems, or that it is simply coming to replace everyone’s jobs.
More importantly, the session focuses on what a sensible business response looks like. We’ll explore where caution is needed, and why the real impact comes less from the tool itself and more from the way it is approached.
Each session will run approximately 45–60 minutes, followed by an optional Q&A. Attendees are welcome to stay for further discussion, with time available to extend the session up to two hours for deeper exploration.
Participants will leave with:
A clear and practical mental model of AI
A better understanding of its strengths, risks, and limitations
A more confident, structured way to think about AI in their organization
This is an ideal session for leaders and teams looking to approach AI with clarity, confidence, and good judgment.
