2019 Chamber/Tourism Tofino Membership Renewals

Dear Members,
On behalf of the staff and board of directors of the Tofino-Long Beach Chamber of Commerce, we thank-you for being part of Chamber and Tourism Tofino network this year, andwe hope it’s been a good one for you and your business.
The Chamber continues to work on behalf of your business offering events, programs and further education, as well as discounts on services. We are Tofino’s largest and longest running business organization, representing a network of roughly three quarters of local businesses. As an organization we are here to understand the challenges facing your business and lobby on issues that affect you.
If you are a tourism member, you also receive a membership with Tourism Tofino. Tourism Tofino’s membership benefits include a business listing and link on tourismtofino.com, business listing on the tear-off map, brochure racking in the Visitor Centre, the ability to post events and the ability to vote and run for the Tourism Tofino Board of Directors.
Looking Ahead to 2019:
We are working with the BC Chamber of Commerce to bring you the Mindreader program – this is an online program that gathers input from members around the province to gauge your position on various issues. It’s a direct way to have input into issues that affect your business. Watch communications from the Chamber as to how to participate in the coming weeks.
We also want to hear from you at any time regarding business issues you may be struggling with. Feel free to contact me at jendart@tofinochamber.org.
We will be continuing with the Tofino Ambassador Program in 2019, with funding from Tourism Tofino and through fundraising efforts. Look for our 2019 Business Excellence Awards to be a new and improved event, and we will be running All Candidates Meetings for both the upcoming municipal government election and next year’s federal election.
The Chamber is also moving further into economic development functions, and we are excited to share news of new initiatives with you in the coming months.
Thanks as always to our hard-working volunteer board, including President Mathieu Amin (Crab Apple Floral), Vice-president Laura McDonald (Epic Pharmacy), Treasurer Krissy Montgomery (Surf Sister Surf School) and our directors Don Travers (Remote Passage Marine Excursions), Petra Hansman (Petrichor Hair Workshop), Laura Morehouse (Long Beach Nature Tours), Hailey Pasemko (Wolf in the Fog) and Allan Pearson (Tofino Brewing Co.).
